Chronic Pain Medicine
Chronic or persistent pain can be described as ongoing or recurrent pain, lasting beyond the usual course of acute illness or injury or more than three to six months which adversely affects the individual’s well being. It is pain that continues when it should not.
When your pain gets out of control and you need to go to the hospital, our pain medicine team is there to assist. The same specialty trained physicians and physician assistants that work in our centers also see patients within the Beaumont hospitals. They can assist in getting you discharged home and if necessary can arrange for further treatment at one of our centers located in Royal Oak, Rochester Hills and Grosse Pointe.
