HeartCaring | Your Heart is in Your Hands
Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe is proud to be part of the national HeartCaring® program, which is powered by Spirit Health Group® and activated by U.S. hospitals that ascribe to the highest standards of excellence in women’s health, education and community outreach.
How can HeartCaring benefit you?
Beaumont, Grosse Pointe’s membership in the HeartCaring program show’s its commitment to practicing gender-sensitive cardiovascular medicine. Cardiovascular diseases remains the leading cause of death in the United States and the hospital’s participation allows our physicians to better understand gender variations in symptoms of cardiovascular diseases and conditions such as peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and stroke. HeartCaring addresses these gaps by providing clinician education and opportunities for women to take action on their health.
The national HeartCaring® program, developed in partnership with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) The Heart Truth, is powered by Spirit Health Group® and activated by US hospitals that ascribe to the highest standards of excellence in women’s health, education, and community outreach. HeartCaring is sponsored in part by The Bristol-Myers Squibb/Sanofi Pharmaceuticals Partnership with educational support from the Vascular Disease Foundation, the Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Coalition, and the Venous Disease Coalition.
“We joined HeartCaring because we believe it will bring our primary care physicians and patients together and help women take action to reduce their personal risks for cardiovascular disease, which is the leading cause of death in women.”
