What to Expect from the Program

During Beaumont's two and a half day Kaizen training, you will get hands on learning and participation in actual Kaizens. Here is an overview of what you can expect each day of the Beaumont Kaizen Institute training.

Day One - 1 to 4 p.m.

  • background of program and what it has meant for Beaumont
  • program evolution and impact to nursing objectives
  • tour of units, Kaizen examples on unit

Day Two - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • participation in Kaizen  - observe, identify problem, Kaizen and result
  • report

Day Three - 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

  • Kaizen participation
  • report
  • summarize learning points

While at Beaumont for Kaizen training, you will be completely immersed in our nursing units and will be part of Beaumont Kaizen teams observing, identifying problems and solutions. You will walk away with practical experience well beyond a classroom setting, empowering you to take the steps necessary to begin a similar process improvement program in your organization.
