Reiki Therapy Program Description
The Schools of Allied Health, Integrative Medicine, offers an evidence-based Reiki Therapy training program in coordination with Beaumont Oncology Services. This program is unique in that it is clinically-focused. We believe it is one of the top programs of its kind in the country.
An Introduction to Reiki Therapy: The Research and the Science
This first level of training is educational in scope. This one-day class is designed to meet the needs of professional nurses and other health care providers, to increase evidence-based knowledge about the relevance of Reiki therapy in healthcare. Others who are interested in learning more about this subject are also welcome to attend.
This program is approved for 7 contact hours. Participants must sign in, attend the entire training and complete evaluation forms to receive contact hours. Beaumont Health System is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Illinois Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Reiki Level II
This class provides instruction for professional nurses, other health care providers and community members to learn how to facilitate Reiki for others. In addition, Level II will move beyond the physical level to address the emotional and mental dimensions of health and healing.
Participants must first complete Beaumont Health System's Reiki Level I training. Nursing contact hours are not provided for this class.
Upon completion of Level II, students may be invited, as volunteers, to facilitate Reiki for the Department of Integrative Medicine.
Reiki Level III
Advanced Practitioner, Master Level provides the Reiki practitioner with the skills and information necessary to further develop their practice. Participants must complete Beaumont Health System's Level I and Level II Reiki training. There are significant pre-requisites to be met for acceptance into the Level III training program.
